About Susan J. Squittieri, Reiki Master Teacher
Having dedicated 20 years to practicing and teaching, she considers it an honor to serve in this capacity. Throughout her personal journey, Susan has had the privilege of training and guiding many individuals, enabling them to discover the transformative effects of Reiki. Witnessing the profound impact it has on personal growth, well-being, and even professional development has been a constant source of inspiration for her.
Susan’s passion for Reiki extends to all aspects of life. She has personally witnessed the positive effects it has on countless individuals, bringing about healing and empowerment. Whether it’s humans seeking physical and emotional well-being or animals benefiting from the soothing energy, Susan firmly believes that Reiki has an extraordinary ability to touch lives in deeply meaningful ways.

In addition to offering Reiki classes for people, Susan offers specialized Animal Reiki classes and courses for Reiki Practitioners seeking to expand their skills in working with animals. She offers both group settings and private instruction, allowing individuals to choose the learning environment that suits them best. Classes are held at Susan’s location in Valley Cottage, NY.

Reiki 1 Training
Reiki 1 or First Degree Reiki (Shoden, or First Teaching) – In this first Reiki experience you are attuned to the Reiki energy in order to perform physical healing. The Reiki symbols are placed in your aura and chakras but they are not revealed to you.
This is the practitioner’s level at which you learn to heal yourself. You also learn how to perform healing on another person who is physically present. Reiki Level 1 is “hands-on Reiki on,” and focuses primarily on the physical body.
Students will receive a course manual and certificate upon completion.
At his level you will learn:
- what Reiki is and its history
- how Reiki heals
- the different levels of Reiki
- how the attunement works
- what the human energy anatomy is
- the Japanese Reiki Level 1 techniques
- Reiki hand positions
- how to feel and work with the Reiki energy
- how to give a Reiki treatment for self and others
- hands-on practice giving and receiving Reiki
- Reiki 1 attunement
Tuition: $275 (PayPal and credit cards accepted. A deposit of $137.50 reserves your place in the class; the entire balance is due by the first day of class.)
Prerequisite: an open mind, willingness to learn, and the desire to grow. The length of the class is 6-8 hours over 1 day.
Reiki 2 Training
Reiki 2 or Second Degree Reiki (Okuden, or Inner Teaching) – Absent or distance healings are the key teachings in the Okuden class.
You’ll learn the Reiki Symbols that allow healing to be directed to the emotional and mental aspects of a person and across time and space. You can use this to do healing work no matter where the recipient is physically located in the world.
Additionally, you will learn you application of the distance symbol so you can do distant treatments for people and situations that have occurred in the past, present, and future.
The second Reiki Attunement deepens your connection to the universal source of all life energy and strengthens your ability to channel that energy. You’ll be shown the three symbols and their mantras so you can consciously learn to make use of them. At this level, you will deepen your personal growth and transformation.
Students will receive a course manual and certificate upon completion.
In Reiki Level 2 you will learn:
- the Reiki 2 symbols
- how to use the Reiki 2 symbols
- Distant Reiki and group Reiki healing
- how to send Reiki healing to the past, present, and future situations
- the Japanese Reiki Level 2 techniques for healing and clearing
- how to use Reiki Level2 with self and others
- Reiki 2 attunement
- hands-on practice giving and receiving Reiki
- discuss Reiki ethical codes of conduct
Tuition: $325 (PayPal and credit cards accepted. A deposit of $162.50 reserves your place in the class; the entire balance is due by the first day of class.)
Prerequisite: Reiki Level 1 and a minimum of 3 months between Reiki Levels 1 & Reiki Level 2. The length of the class is 6-8 hours over 1 day.
Reiki Master Level Training
Reiki 3 Master Practitioners Level or Third Degree Reiki (Shinpiden, or Mystery Teaching) – At this level, you are attuned to the symbols and energy for spiritual healing at the soul level. Reiki Level 3 is profound.
With Reiki 3 you achieve full empowerment. You will receive a final attunement and learn to work with the fourth symbol, the master symbol.
Although called Reiki Master, this means you are in the process of “mastering yourself.” This course brings you to the beginning of that process. It’s a wonderful process to develop a strong self-practice and deepen your relationship with yourself and the Reiki energy.
Students will receive a course manual and certificate upon completion.
In Reiki Level 3 the Master Level you will learn:
- review of Reiki 2 symbols and their use
- the Reiki 3 Master symbol
- how to use the Master symbol
- the Japanese Reiki Level 3 techniques for healing and clearing
- how to use Reiki Level 3 with self and others
- discuss Reiki ethical codes of conduct
- Reiki 3 Master attunement
- hands-on practice giving and receiving Reiki
Tuition: $375 (PayPal and credit cards accepted. A deposit of $187.50 reserves your place in the class; the entire balance is due by the first day of class.)
Prerequisite: Reiki Level 1 & Reiki Level 2 and a minimum of 9-12 months between Reiki Levels 2 & Reiki Level 3 Master Practitioner. The length of the class is 6-8 hours over 1 day.
Reiki Master Teacher Training
Reiki Master Teacher Training. If you have a desire to teach and empower others with Reiki energy, then this class is your ultimate destination. At the Master Teacher Level, you will learn how to pass Reiki attunements to others. As a Master Teacher, you have everything you need to confer First, Second, Third, and Master Teacher degrees.
Students will receive a course manual and certificate upon completion.
At the Reiki Master Teacher level, you will:
- review Reiki 1, 2, 3 Master symbols
- review the Japanese Reiki techniques for Reiki 1, 2, & 3 Master Levels
- learn the use of the Master Teacher attunement symbol
- learn how to give attunements to others
- discuss practical guidelines for teaching
- discuss Reiki ethical codes of conduct
Tuition: $1200 (PayPal and credit cards accepted. A deposit of $600 reserves your place in the class the entire balance is due by the first day of class.)
Prerequisite: Reiki Level 1, 2, & 3 Master Practitioner and a deep desire to teach. The length of the class is 6-8 hours over 1 day.
